When partners James and Josh founded Miris, they set out to create a service that offers clients the complete package for bespoke building solutions.
Nearly twenty years later, they remain true to this vision.
Miris now have an expanding portfolio and an ever-growing team of skilled tradesmen, site and project managers, as well as an office support team. With every team member playing an active part to ensure customer expectations are exceeded.
Miris continue to offer clients the complete package when it comes to bespoke building solutions – ensuring every home is flawlessly finished. With a senior team boasting a wealth of build experience, knowledge and skills, and a network of experts from a range of services, our projects continue to diversify as we keep growing.

At Miris, our vision goes beyond an exceptional build. We aim to also deliver an outstanding service when crafting your dream home.
We pride ourselves on our ability to make the journey as stress-free and enjoyable as possible, whilst co-ordinating a range of specialists and ensuring your project runs seamlessly and on time.
1. INTRODUCTION
Once you come to us with your creative vision, Miris will work hard to understand your priorities and advise you on how best to allocate your budget. A vital part of this process is meeting with our clients several times before work begins.
Nurturing a good working relationship with you will enable us to fully achieve your vision, within your budget, and with consideration for any practical restrictions.
2. THE MIRIS DESIGN
Using our little black book of trusted experts, we help you source the best architects, kitchen designers and interior specialists. We’ll also help manage the selection of materials, fixtures and fittings well ahead of time.
3. MIRIS CONSTRUCTION
We have a clear management structure in place at Miris to ensure we meet targets, from build quality to programme and budget management. For every scheme Miris undertakes, we use a number of project management tools which are updated daily to support the decision-making process, including a build programme and procurement schedule.
4. MIRIS INSTALLATION
One of our top priorities is to carefully manage and consistently engage with subcontractors. This ensures we achieve the right quality standards and that the installation meets the agreed timeline.
As many of our projects can be complex, we hold and record weekly meetings with architects, managers and directors. Always ensuring you’re kept abreast of every part of the process.
5. AFTERCARE & INSTALLATION
Once your project is completed, we handover your home with a bespoke operations manual. This will explain how everything in the house works, down to every last detail, from plumbing and electricals.
Our clients can liaise with us at any stage, we will help you with any questions or to discuss any aspects of the build.

James and Josh started their family business nearly 20 years ago after both leaving corporate roles. During this time they have invested in property, building and managing a significant portfolio. As well as helping a large range of clients to build new and refurbished homes.
James started his career as a business improvement consultant within the Telecoms industry.
A keen basketball player in his spare time, he’s also a passionate charity fundraiser – recently trekking a car across Europe to raise money for children with terminal cancer.
James’s favourite building:
The Louvre pyramid.
Josh brings his many years’ experience in the banking and financial industry to the business.
A passionate golfer and dad to three boys, Josh also used to also manage semi-pro football teams, Frome and Paulton Rovers. Oh, and he’s also known to love a pick n’ mix.

The Burj Khalifa in Dubai.
Stone masons
Our fully qualified brick & stone masons combined experience helps Miris ensure that every project is built to the best standards and the stone/brick work looks amazing.
Joinery team
Our site joinery team are fully qualified carpenters and have numerous years’ experience onsite and within the workshop. Their attention to detail and eye for design helps Miris create stunning joinery.
Steel framing
Our Steel team bring a wealth of experience to Miris from their steel framing background. As more of our homes require more radical steel frames our steel team’s experience helps us over the most challenging situations.
Plastering team
Our site plastering team, and their extended team are able to manage the most difficult and testing jobs.
Ground worker
Our ground worker has over 25 years’ experience, Our ground workers skill and experience helps us ensure our buildings are built to the best standards.
Electrical team
Our site electrical team are both fully qualified NIC. Our head of Electrical has many years’ experience working on both industrial and commercial contracts. While his business partner retrained seven years ago after serving 15 years in the Royal Navy.
Joinery team
Our bench joinery team create the most beautiful bespoke staircases, window, kitchen, bookcases…the list goes on!
Plumbing team
Our plumbing team are a family team and have worked with us for many years installing every type of water and gas based system.
In addition to the above, we work with a range of architects and trade experts on a regular basis.
